Prof. Julia Leihener is teaching and directing the international Master Course of Strategic Design at the Design Academy Berlin. She has been a strategic design thinker, focusing on the development of consumer oriented future products and services for the digital communication industry for more than 10 years. One of her passions is the exploration and the interpretation of the impact of new technologies on society in academic as well as in the industrial context.
She obtains a diploma in Industrial Design/ Product- & Process Design from the University of the Arts in Berlin as well as a Master of Arts in Design Products of the Royal College of Arts in London. She worked as ideation manager at Product Visionaires – Siemens BenQ Mobile in Berlin and co-founded the Creation Center of the Telekom Innovation Laboratories in Berlin.
In the past years she has been coaching & consulting various institutions worldwide, including the HPI School of Design Thinking in Potsdam, CUC Beijing, Peak Berlin, Axel Springer Plug & Play Accelerator, Ebay, Sparkasse ect.
